HAM’s agency, Lee Yeon Entertainment, has revealed on October 1st that HAM’s comeback track, “So Sexy,” has been rejected by KBS for being too sexually suggestive.
Lee Yeon Entertainment went on to reveal, “It passed MBC’s review. SBS’s results are to come out today, but the response seems negative. We’ve noticed that netizens have a mixed response on this as well and we don’t see the controversy ending any time soon.”
HAM held their comeback stage on “M. Countdown” on September 30th and finally revealed their music video on October 1st through GomTV.
Their choreography utilizes moves deemed as sexually suggestive, such as the popping and closing of their clothing. Their lyrics also appear to carry strong sexual innuendos, as found in “I’ll have you,” and “Come inside of me“.
Netizens have nicknamed the choreography the “Jacket Dance” and commented, “They’ve put too much focus on one body part. Everything is just too sexually suggestive, it’s hard to concentrate on anything else.”
Lee Yeon Entertainment continued, “We did not intend for this to be so sexually suggestive. We just wanted to have HAM show a new mature image that’s different from their standard girlish concepts. We prepared their choreography and outfits to fit the style of their song and concept.”
They concluded, “We will be editing as much of the lyrics and choreography as we can without drastically changing their original image. The song will be re-submitted for another review.”

A week before 2NE1′s official comeback with their first full album, “To Anyone“, YG Entertainment’s official blog revealed what each member’s greatest desire was for their first album.
Of the four members, leader CL’s most desired wish was to read a newspaper article that read, “#1 on the US Billboard Charts for 2NE1’s title track, ‘Can’t Nobody’!”
Well, it looks like CL’s wish is getting closer to fulfillment, as 2NE1’s ‘To Anyone’ is ranked #7 on the Billboard World Albums Chart!
It may not yet be the actual US Billboard Charts that CL had originally wished for, but nevertheless, this remarkable and unprecedented feat displays just how quickly K-pop is spreading around the world.
Congratulations to 2NE1!
