The live-action drama adaptation of Tomoko Hayakawa's manga "Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge" was confirmed on Sunday. KAT-TUN's Kazuya Kamenashi (23) will play the lead role and will be joined by Hiroki Uchi (23) and NEWS member Yuya Tegoshi (22).
The comedic story revolves a group of handsome young men who are offered free lodging if they can turn the owner's niece into a proper lady. Kamenashi plays the short-tempered Kyohei Takano, while Uchi and Tegoshi play two of his housemates. Aya Omasa (18) has been cast as the niece Sunako, a solitary girl with low self-esteem. As the men work together to change Sunako, she and Kyohei begin to form a romantic relationship.
The cast also includes ballet dancer Shuntaro Miyao (25). TBS will premiere the series on January 15, airing every Friday at 10:00pm.

Today was a PR event for Oshii Mamoru’s new live-action movie called "Assault Girls" starring actress Kuroki Meisa among others.
Recently she denied a possible relationship between her and kabuki actor Nakamura Shido, thus reporters once again plastered her with questions regarding her love life. However, Kuroki had a very cool response. "Love? I’ll become a woman who doesn’t need a man."

Today actress Fukada Kyoko (27), simply known as Fukakyon, has been given the the tile of the "Nail Queen 2009" in the actress category.
In 2006 she already earned herself the same title and is known for her love for nail arts. "I’ll work hard to be able to stand here again next year." She proclaimed with much ambition.
Recently it has been rumored that her good friend Higashiyama Noriyuki is in a relationship with fellow actress Kimura Yoshino, but Fukakyon decided rather not to make a comment on this matter.

Director Masanori Tominaga ("Pandora no Hako," "The Pavillion Salamandre") is working on a film adaptation of "Ranbou to Taiki," written by acclaimed playwright and author Yukiko Motoya. The movie stars actor Tadanobu Asano (36) and model Minami (23) in a complicated "love story."
Motoya's works have received several awards, as well as nominations for the prestigious Akutagawa Prize. Her "Funuke Domo, Kanashimi no Ai wo Misero" was turned into a prize-winning film by director Daihachi Yoshida in 2007.
The unusual "Ranbou to Taiki" centers on a man and woman who, because of an incident in the past, are living together despite being neither lovers nor relatives. Hidenori (Asano) is frequently in the attic, spying down on Nanase (Minami) through a hole in the ceiling while thinking of ways to exact cruel revenge. Although she is aware of the spying, Nanase tolerates it, waiting for the revenge that she feels she deserves. However, years have passed with no sign of revenge coming, and their relationship starts to change after a new couple arrives in their neighborhood.
The movie is currently scheduled for a fall 2010 release.

“혈서” (Hyeolseo) is an act where someone would bite/cut commonly their finger, and write a message conveying the theme of passion and their ”intense” dedication. One woman fan committed this act to show her passion for the 2PM’s member, TaecYeon. When others started doubting, the owner of the hyeolseo posted an image of her underwear in blood.
Due to this horrifying act, many netizens are going into her mini homepage and leaving messages that even made the person apologize to the public for her actions toward TaecYeon’s fans and TaecYeon himself. She also added that she never knew that the matter was going to grow this big. Despite the apologizing statements, the netizens hate continued. The person who committed the act responded by saying, “In our country, witch hunts are severe. I feel bad for myself for being cursed by the netizens for doing an act that wasn’t criminal.” She also added, “Just be glad that I didn’t write it in my poop… the more you guys [netizens] come at me, I’m not going to back down” leaving the violent statement. With this statement, more and more netizens are joining in the hate against her currently.

Radio stations usually get the tracks before the actual release so that they can review lyrics and make sure everything is in the clear before airing the track after the release, but obviously someone didn’t get the memo.
On the 24th, Pledis released a formal complaint saying, “MBC FM4U prematurely aired After School’s new single “Because of You” on Taeyeon’s “Chinhan Chingu (Best Friend) Radio.”
Pledis also claimed that because of the leak, the track quickly spread all over the web and caused heavy losses.
However, MBC demanded an apology for the attack.
On the 23rd MBC released a statement saying, “Because the formal process was followed, there should have been no problem with airing the track. Pledis has been unfair in their defamation of our radio.”
Pledis responded on the 30th by saying that the examination schedule had not been followed on their part and that they are very sorry for questioning the integrity of MBC.

A movie staff said on 30th November, “SooAe and Kim HyunJoong has been casted for the movie ‘You are my pet’ as the female and male leader characters. The movie will be directed by Kim ByungGon.”
The movie is about an episode of a beautiful and talent fashion magazine editor’s ‘cohabitation with a pretty boy. SooAe will be playing the fashion magazine editor and Kim HyunJoong will be the ‘pet’ flower boy.
Kim HyunJoong’s agency said, “We have not finished the process of signing the contract. But we will confirmed everything by middle of the year.”
The movie is an adaptation of 10-part Japanese anime aired in 2003. This will be Kim HyunJoong’s next acting attempt after ‘Boys Over Flowers’ earlier this year.
Tentatively the movie is set to air in 2010
